Wool Rug Care
Wool rugs are prized for their durability, softness, and natural beauty. Due to this fiber, Wool rugs are naturally stain-resistant, but they could still be damaged by water, though.
- Protect them from Moths. Because Wool is a natural fiber, it makes Wool Rugs vulnerable to moth damage. To prevent such infestations, one should store wool rugs in a cool, dry place, and also, inspect them for any signs of moth activity, periodically.
- For fresh spills – Blot up as much of the spilled liquid as possible with a clean cloth, that does not leave color.
- For dried spills – Sprinkle the affected area with baking soda and then, let it sit for around 30 minutes to an hour. Then, vacuum up the baking soda.
